Ruddy Gobel

Ruddy is an experienced communication professional with over 20 years of experience, specializing in high-level policymaking, advocacy, and crisis management in Indonesia. His expertise spans various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, health, poverty reduction, and finance. Notably, he has been involved in the reform of Indonesia’s energy subsidy and the biofuel industry, as well as contributing to the just energy transition. Ruddy played a key role in the successful publication and promotion of the Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit project, showcasing his ability to drive communication strategies for large-scale public initiatives.

 Throughout his career, Ruddy has held significant advisory roles, now a Partner & Strategic Advisor at AsiaPR and a Senior Adviser at Centre for Policy Department. Formerly a Senior Adviser for the Indonesia Palm Oil Fund Management Agency (BPDKS), and a Ministerial Expert Staff member for the Indonesian Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources, where he contributed to the 2017 electricity subsidy reform. He also served as a Senior VP at the Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Fund. Ruddy holds a Master of Economy and a Doctorate in Strategic Policy from the University of Indonesia, enhancing his ability to navigate complex policy and communication landscapes.
